Cyber Life - Myspace Jesus

Did you know that Jesus has a myspace account? No not Jesus Ramirez (real friend of mine so BACK OFF). I am talking about “the Jesus,” the one from the Bible. He started a myspace account and WOW has it got a lot of attention. Some people think it’s great, others say it is blaspheme. That’s right…they break out the B word. What do you think? Should we embrace myspace Jesus or kick him to the cyber curb?

It seems to me like utter blasphemy. The intentions might be admirable, but specifically in the bible it relays to us that the only sin that’s unforgivable is blashemy to the Holy Spirit, and you gotta take that seriously. I agree that kids need to have a personal, friendship with Jesus (don’t get me wrong) but saying that you can give them that and speaking about Jesus IN THE FIRST PERSON… i dunno, I personally, find that very hard not to view as blasphemy.

Dude, guys I think it’s brilliant. As long as the questions are answered through the bible, and that this guy is praying (I’d say continuously daily without ceasing) and that he is sharing with people what his thoughts on this or that are then it’s brilliant. To the blasphemy post, I say show me your fruit. If you are praying, reading, studying, confering with other believers, if you receive none of the three G’s Girls Gain, Glory, from this ( I like the anonymity) then I say rock on.
But you’re opening the door to some serious spiritual attacks.

Adrian, thanks for the kind words. Yea the one who types does face spiritual attacks, but that will be true for anyone who does what I have called them to do.

If speaking about Jesus in the first person (comment from Graham on Feb 28th) is blasphemy, then would it also be blashphemy for an actor to portray Jesus on film, TV or on the stage? What about the “Jesus Film” that has brought millions to Christ around the world?
